Summer Time Updates!

Summer is off to a wonderful start at Doyle Christian Church! We're thankful for the opportunities God has given us to learn, worship, serve, and spend time together. Here's a look at what we've been up to and what's coming up in July.
Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School was such a blessing! A huge thank you to all of our volunteers, everyone who donated or prayed, and every family who came and spent the week with us. We couldn't have done it without you!
There were so many memories from the week that will stay with me. It was such a blessing to watch our teen leaders and adult volunteers grow closer to Christ together. The kids also discovered a new favorite game—Raiders—and I have a feeling we'll be playing that one again! One of my favorite moments was acting out Saul chasing David. Moriah escaped through the "window," and then I took off chasing her around the "mountain." I'm still not sure how David managed it!

Still in Ireland?
If you've stopped by the church recently, you may have noticed Emerald Crossing stuck around a little longer than expected. Every time I was ready to take the decorations down, another adult convinced me they needed to stay just a little longer. I think the decorations were officially adopted, so if you were wondering why we're still in Ireland, now you know!
Movie Night
Our movie night was another great evening together! Thank you to everyone from our church family and community who joined us. One of my favorite parts of the evening was hearing the kids ask questions throughout The Prince of Egypt. It was exciting to see them connect what they had been learning in Sunday school to the movie. Between the movie, pizza, popcorn, candy, and all the laughter throughout the evening, it was everything a movie night should be. We're already looking forward to our next movie night. Kids's Sunday School
July is a busy month with vacations and fair season, so our kids's Sunday School will be taking a short break. We'll be back on August 2, and we can't wait to catch up, hear about everyone's summer adventures, and share a few of our own!
And just a little hint... we'll be meeting Moses right where we left him at the Red Sea. The story is just getting started, and God has big plans ahead!

Adult Sunday School
While Children's Sunday School takes a short summer break, Adult Sunday School will be meeting at the church throughout July at 10:00 a.m. We'd love to see you there!
Pastor Randy and family, The Riche Family Trio, will be performing at the Doyle Senior Center/Community Center. If you've never had the opportunity to hear them, I highly encourage you to go. It's sure to be an uplifting evening of gospel music and fellowship.
Instead of our regular Sunday morning service, we'll be gathering with other local churches for Church in the Park at Janesville Park beginning at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Randy and family will be sharing their music during the service. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy a morning outdoors as we worship together with our extended church family.
